Fixodent /Poligrip
Fixodent (manufactured by Proctor & Gamble) and Poligrip (manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline) are over-the-counter denture adhesive creams which have been linked to zinc poisoning and neuropathy.
Symptoms of possible zinc poisoning include:
- Numbness and tingling in the extremities
- Balance problems
- Loss of sensation
- Unexplained pain
- Decreased walking stride
